Help!..Clipping sound when using volume pedal in series loop

I am getting a hard clipping sound on only the clean channels of my mod 50 when using
a virtual volume pedal in the series loop.

I swapped the tubes directly behind and near the series loop 1/4" jacks but it still clipped.

Amp works great/normal when not using the series loop
Any suggestions?

Is it a 250K pot passive volume pedal, or a 25K active volume pedal?

I *think* for the hot loop signal, you need the 25K pot one...

its a Visual volume pedal switchable both passive and active. It was clipping on both settings and they were set at unity gain.

Per Bruce's reply on another post, I backed off the individual masters on the clean (A) channels and problem fixed.
