HELP From Anyone With a Dual HBE Module

Anyone besides Seano that is . . . (thanks Seano! :rock:)

Can someone who has one of these please look at the vertical tube board, and tell me:

1. Is there a capacitor installed underneath the resistor on the vertical Tube PCB?

2. If so, is it installed in location C1 or in C2 on the vertical Tube PCB?

When I got mine, it had a 470pF capacitor installed in C2 - which I was sure was wrong, as every module I've ever owned (including 2 other Friedman modules, one of which was a C45/HBE) either has a capacitor in location C1, or no capacitor at all. I've already asked Seano, and his dual HBE has no capacitor installed in either location! :confused: So now I'm thinking someone dicked with my HBE before I got it . . . can someone please chime in and tell me what their HBE looks like? Thanks!

If this is the HBE that I sent you last week, I can tell you that I did not modify the HBE and don't know that anyone did after Dave.

Hey Will - I didn't realize you got this direct from Dave (or maybe I did, and I just forgot). Then maybe Dave's the one that dicked with it :lol: :LOL: . Seriously though, it looks then like Dave did make my HBE and Seano's HBE differently. I'd just like to find out which one of ours is correct if someone else has one they can look at . . .
 
Actually, I didn't get it from Dave but I can confirm from the person who did whether it has been tweaked.
 
Hey David & Will, I got that HBE directly from DF and has never been touched by anyone other than him.

Thanks for clearing that one up Eddie. But I'm still stumped here . . . if could get just ONE other person with a dual HBE module to chime in here, I could probably solve this once and for all. There must be someone else here on RT besides Seano and me who owns a dual HBE :confused: . . .
 
Sorry David, but we're all "over" the Hairy Brown Eye.

At this point, most of us have graduated to the Brazilian Waxed Brown Eye.....
