Being the idiot I am, I did not set Einy to standby while changing cabs. Now all you hear is a very faint sound on channel 2. Already checked the fuses and they seem to be okay. Did not bring any spares of course. Did I just break something major?

try replacing your preamp tubes.. .. v1 and v3 in particular, followed by the others. If that doesn't work try new power tubes.

Thanks a lot mate. You would not believe what the actual problem was, I almost don't dare to say... When I relialized that Einy was still running with no cab connected, I ran back and plugged it back in. In the process I must have gotten caught on one of the cables going to my pedalboard, pulling it out just enough to break the connection. Now I feel like an even bigger idiot for posting without checking all connections, but also happy that Einy is alive :-)

It's all good mate. We all have our  moments. Glad you get it fixed! :)

Thanks guys, you are being too kind!
OK, you're a big dummy. Better? :D
Just kidding! I've done much worse.
Glad all is well.
I'm pretty sure it's quite safe to swap cabinets in standby mode.
Fear not.
Cheers.

Just so you know, the order of failure will be FUSE -> Power Tubes -> Transformer. While not recommended, hot swapping cabs isn't going to hurt anything if you forget.

Wel this is ironic. I was just getting ready to ask a very similar question.

The other day I turned on my Herbert to let it warm up a bit. 5-10 minutes later I came back and turned it off standby, stepped back and started playing. No sound. I immediately realized what I had done and since I was closer to the cab than the head I plugged the speaker cable back in. It was still working but didn't sound quite right. So I shut it down and used one of my other heads for band practice. Later, I fired it back up and looked at the back to see if the fuse lights were lit up and they were not. And it sounded better. But it still seems it's not quite right. It sounds good sometimes and other times it doesn't. I bought new power tubes to try out but haven't put them in yet. Is there anything else I should check?

Also, I have a 2 probe Weber Bias Rite and 1 bias probe from Eurotubes that I hook into a multimeter. Can i hook all 3 up at the same time?

Thanks, Jusup
