Hello RT,
I hate to be that guy but I have had a thread on the tech corner with zero traction. I am trying to understand the signal path on the Rivera for troubleshooting. There is something going on that is baffling me at the moment. I can hear a slight ring if I knock on the amp head BUT it does not appear to be related to any input tube microphonics.
When I have it on the gain channel, boosted (via the amp's own pull switch), there is no ringing or anything at all.
If I have it on the clean, there is no ringing really either.
I just hear a very small ring when I knock against it hard, and it does not change with input volume.
I am wondering if it is a sympathetic vibration from somewhere or something.
*I just recalled - did I have the spring reverb tank on at all when I was doing that? Surely not but I will test again to be sure.
Here is a link to the other thread with the diagram - TIA!!!

Hello all,
I have a Rivera Clubster Royale Recording 25w - 6V6. I believe I completely understand the signal path of the amp but pulled up the closest schematic I could to confirm. I have actually used this to repair a solder that went out before, so it should be pretty close I would think.
If anyone could confirm what exactly is used for the Clean channel (channel 2), that would be cool. From the sound, seems like the second tube in the lineup is involved.
My thoughts:
3 12ax7
First tube is used on ch 1 (lead/crunch)
When you pull the boost, it engages 2nd tube.
2nd tube drives...
