Hey there Peter and everyone else here.
No need to fret too much. I love my herbert and have had it for a year and a half now with no issues UNTIL last night at a show. What i think happend is simply a tube dying. When i turned on my amp i got a low frequency bassy steady hum with very low volume output. When i looked at the back of the amp i noticed the led for tube 3&4 was lit. It would go on and off intermittently. After a while i actually did get the amp to perform at stage volume but i could still tell it was very weak and got random high frequency feedback noises at times. I am VERy thankfull that it got me through the show though. GREAT PRODUCT!
ANYWAYS.. what should i do? ..just change all the tubes? I had ruby el34's. Im thinking going 6550's? Change them all? How bout the preamp tubes? I heard i should go to jjecc835's for that warm tone i like.
Anyways, thanks in advance for the help
