Hi everyone,

I have had my VH4 for about 8 months now without any issues, until today. I had been playing my amp for just over an hour, when I turned away from the amp and then looked back at my amp I noticed all of the lights were off. It sounded great, and my Columbus' LEDs were still lit. I stepped on one of the swtiches on the Columbus and the lights on my amp came back on.

What happened?????!!!!!!!!!!!!

There was nothing else about it, just the lights for the channel, and the parallel loop were out.

Please let me know if any of you have experinced this and if so, what you did to be sure it wouldn't happen again.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Best wishes,

Bullseye

It seems that the midi controller chip got stuck. I suppose the amp is alright by now. Perhaps you should do an upgrade to the chip. Contact Peter!

I assume the controller got a spike from the main or from
the power tubes. In this case the controller makes an
internal reset.

Don´t worry.

Thanks for putting my mind at ease Peter! Now I can shred without dred! :D

I have noticed while biasing the amp that there are 2 fuses on the Midi board. Are they there to protect against a stronger spike from the main or from the power tubes?

Thanks again for the replys!!!

Best wishes,

Bullseye
