HELP: which mod sounds like the Rhythm channel on a Budda?

Howdy,

The Mod 50 is perfect. Almost. I'm still trying to nail the tone from the Rhythm channel on my old Budda Superdrive 45.
I've tried the VX, Bman, and T/D. Should I experiment with a high gain mod, just turned to real low gain?

Any suggestions from those familiar with both amps?

I still have the EG5, SL2X and the T/D. How big a difference would a pair of 6L6 or KT66 tubes make? (My mod has E34Ls right now.)

Check out the SL. It's a great mid gain mod. Not being familiar with the budda stuff, I can't really say, but the SL is probably a good place to start. It cleans up really well on channel a.
