Help with effects in parallel using Herbie

Hi, can anybody tell me how to get rid of the "hissing" sound when connected in parallel...When using channel one all is good but when you switch to channel 2 or 3 its very loud...I understand my decimator is only gating one side of the parallel...so how can I get Herbie quiet?? When hooked up in series my Digitech GSP1101 kills the tone..right now I have the Herbert w/just my decimator and it sounds killer but I would like to use some effects...

More info please??? Where are your channel volumes at? Settings in general? What & how are you connecting?
