I’ve been a member of Rigtalk for ages. Have a lot of previous transactions. I took a long break from the forum but have recently been back. I guess some rules have changed and i am unable to post anything for sale in the classifieds. It doesnt give me the option to post anything for sale. I see some 2 factor identification thing was implemented for new members or maybe its for all members now. Im ignorant on how to do this so any help is appreciated. Thanks

I haven't done it yet either, but that's more so I can keep myself out of the classifieds.

I gladly did the the 2 factor stuff after watching a buddy's account get hacked. He doesn't post much, but had a lot of good transactions. He was a member as long as I've been here, and had to change his account. Scammers suck.

Hey all,

As far as I can see, 2FA hasn't been activated on sandman's account. It's not a password change, you need to enable two factor authentication. Basically you'll receive a one-time password by email that you'll have to enter in addition to your password each time you need to log in again.
Once you activate it, note that it can take up to an hour for the change you apply before you can post in the classifieds section.

Man i am stupid with this technology stuff. I will try to figure out how to activate it again.

I realized also i had an old email address attached to my account so i updated that and i think I have now completed the 2fa process. Hopefully it will activate within an hour or so now. Again, i’m not too smart with all of this stuff. My apologies

I had a feeling that it must've not been activated somehow, something we lowly mods can't determine AFAIK.

Glad you're up-and-running mate and thank you @nero Nico.

Oh, and don't panic if nothing happens within an hour. In my experience it can take up to 3->4 hours, but no longer.
