Help with mounting studs for floyd

The Gotho floyd I bought has bigger mounting studs than the holes in the body. What should I do?

Smash them in with a hammer or

Redrill the holes? But to what size?

measure the studs and redrill for their diameter. but do it a little at a time and go up in size, otherwise you might go over and youll have to fill the hole with a wooden dowel and start from scratch!

and dont just try to hammer those things in there, you might end up spliting the wood then youd be screwed!
