Hi.

Did any of you tested the Herbert with a cab loaded with G12 Century ?
Does the Herbert sound better with Vintage 30 speakers or G12H ?
I'm asking this because soon I'm gonna order a Herbert and I'm not decided about the cab... the first feeling I had was to go with the Diezel cab... to be honest I don't want to make expensive tests... so I want to know if many of you have other speakers than Vintage 30.

Thank you.

I don't have a Herbert, but for a while I had a Krank 4x12" cab loaded with G12 Centuries to accompany with my VH4 and thus I think sharing my thoughts.

I did not like the sound that much. The sound of G12 Centuries is very tight, focused and fast with plenty of articulation. They really DO cut through anything!!! I think they sounded too thin and did not have any warmth in them. I also think that these speakers do not offer that much lower middle or upper bass frequencies. And for some players, there might be even too much presence peak. However, my bands another guitar player truly enjoys the cab and thus bought it from me. So, again a matter of personal taste.

The one absolutely fantastic feature of G12 Centuries is their weight. The 4x12" cab weighted approximately the same than my current 2x12". :)

I might try to find some "historical" clips that are recorded with the Centuries. Can't promise to find any, but I try...
