The Uber is voiced better around mid freq. I would let the other guitar player adjust his eq a bit to let ther herbert stand out more. Watch out with cranking the gain, the compression lets you lose projection. Cranking the mids wont help with the herbert, i found that using a lower gain helps more.
The speaker cab and pickups you use is a big factor.
Emg are more on the treble side and dont like them with the herbert.
I have a uv777 with blaze pickups and a bad horsie brmr with breed pickups, the breeds are way more present and project the mid freq. far better.
My gibson explorer with EMG's would get lost fast.
Example: channel 2 with everything at noon, channel volume on 1 or 2 o'clock and the gain at 10 or 11. Use this and go on from here.(adjust the pressence and deep the way you like). The higher channel volume lets you open up more and lets you loose compression that stands in the way, this is subjective but it works great for me. When down picking and having the channel volume low i get a thin sound, opening the channel volume makes it thicker and more present.
Different strokes for different folks, it also depends on youre technique, everybode plays different. The way you attack, stroke, fret etc. This causes everybode to eq the amp different, keep that in mind.
