Hey guys,

I just discovered there is/was a mod from Wilder Amplification for the Herbert's 2nd channel to make it Midi switchable. Is this mod still available? I guess Wilder Amplification is not in business any more and some guys got ripped off.
Is it maybe possible to get a mod like that from Diezel, too?

Kind regards,

Dominik

Whatever you do, do not send your amp or money to Wilder. You will lose.

As far as Diezel offering the mod, email service@diezelamplification.com and ask them directly. I believe there is a chip that can be replaced. That's what Wilder was offering with his Evolution footswitch. If he can produce it, I don't see why Diezel couldn't. All comes down to money I suppose.

E-Mailed with Peter today, it could be done via a mono jack. You just have to use some sort of function switcher and put the cables from the toggle switch to the jack.
Thanks again Peter for this great support!

You can use an output jack instead if drilling a new one. Connect the switch with the jack and use a shielded cable for this. For switching the +- the switch has to be in - position. I use a tc gmajor as the external switch.

Awesome man! Thx for the info!!!!

Was there some other kinda mod to enable midi CC toggles to remote switch V2 or mid cut I heard of (i.e. replace the EPROM with different firmware)? Where can I find out more about that?

I assume the switchable +/- mod just taps into a voltage/signal that switches a relay or something between +/- modes and the audio isn't passing through that switch? If so I should easily be able to perform that mod to my Herbie (something I'd love), I just don't want any of it's ch 2 audio passing through random extra wires and out to a relay switcher in my G-major or any nonsense like that. If I'm only buggering about with a control signal then I'm happy as Larry having a go. Might steal a bit of this screened multicore cable when I leave work. :)

In my case the relay switch would be out of function. So I can program my presets and the gmajor switches the +- switch.
you can also use one of your two switches in your fcb1010 and connect one of it with the jack of the amp to perform the switching. So you wont need the gmajor for that job.

There is no EPROM from the company. I would love to have a CC function in my Herbert for V2, Midcut, Loop and mute. But that will be a dream for ever.

G-major would be far easier since it's sat on top of the Herbie, whereas the FCB1010 is usually a lot further away, and it'll now be very very far away since I'm now using a Ground Control since I bought it a firmware upgrade and bought a pedal switcher. I should probably update my signature since it now has quite a few more things in there and been rearranged. It's still got the Marshall cab too! :)
