Here it is.
I own an Herbert since 3 days and today I bought a new Midi-cable...I'm able to switch between the channels but I'm not able to save the EQ-Settings....

(btw. i'm using a Boss GT-8)

Please...I need help ;(

Save the eq settings on the amp? If that's what you are trying to do - you can't. The eq settings are manual on the amp only. The MIDI is good for program changes only. You can control the channel, the loop, the mid-cut, and the two master volumes. You need a patch for each program. For example, Channel 2, loop on, mid-cut on is one patch, while channel 2, loop on, mid-cut off must be another patch.

oh...what a pity...

than I've understanded something wrong....

thx anyway!

The good news is the GT-8 likely has an onboard EQ. If you're running it in 4-cable mode and place the EQ effect after the amp, you should be able to at least match the amp's EQ abilities, if not exceed it.

hm...I don't like to mix a ("cheap") GT-8 with an high-quality amp!

but good idea (:

maybe I gonna try it later....

You can sell GT-8, get a midi floor controller (many to choose from) and a rackmount midi EQ (such as the peavey autograph) and your case will be solved.
But I believe that an outboard EQ will worsen the amp's natural voice and frequencies.
