Herbert loop problem

I'm having some weird things happening with the parallel loop of my Herbert. First of all the "loop" switch in front of the amp doesn't completely turn the loop off, it just drops the volume some. Second the mix level controller in the back doesn't seem to affect much, it's either off when it's all the way down or on at the same volume at all the other settings. In addition the volume of the loop have sudden ups & then drop in volume after a while. Any idea what this could be & what to check? I've never used the loop before, just got a delay recently & found out the problem, so I don't know how long this has been going on.

The switch on the fronplate switches only the "switchable loop"

If You want to switch the parallel loop, go from switchable
send to effectunit input. The output from the effectunit
leads to paralllel return.

Don´t forget to set the mix in Your unit to 100% wet.

Btw, we have a manual on:

;)

Oops, how embarrassing :scared:

Thanks, I'll try that.

How about the mix level? Will it fix that too?

OK, pardon my dumbness, but I've just read the manual (again) & that part is very blurry. Now the way You explained it I do understand.

Peter,

The switch works fine. I connected everything exactly the way you said.

Still I don't notice any changes when I turn the mix knob in the back of the amp. Any ideas?

No wet signal ?

Please give me a favour. Plug a cable in the serial return
jack and touch the tip with the finger with master on 50%.
Do You hear a noise ?

The wet signal is there. It's 100% open all the time. The knob doesn't seem to change anything.

I'll try what you've asked I get back to you.

Maybe it´s too much output on the unit and there
is no proper way to adjust the pot ?

Yes, I do.

Possible, because when I turn it all the way down it mutes the wet sound, otherwise it seems to be on 100%. However the same unit with the same settings works fine with VH4 & Bogner Extacy. I'll back down the output volume on timefactor & try again.

Before I do this I have another problem that started today. I think one of my preamp tubes needs to be changed. There is all of a sudden this weird noise accompanying the amp sound, which is not noticeable when I play the amp, however annoying. It's louder on channels where there is more gain. I recorded a little mp3

Hi Peter,

I've lowered the output on the unit & it seems like it somewhat fixed the problem. Still kind of weird, I thought levels should be pretty equal on both Diezels.
