Hey All;

I am confused about the loop options with the Herbert. I want to put my effects unit into the parallel loop, but I wanted to be able to switch it in and out. The switchable loop is not a parallel loop though, correct?

Also (to those using a decimator), how do you have yours hooked up, and what do you have your settings at?

Thanks.

I have the effects unit in the serial loop so I can switch it in and out. The ISP Pro rack G is in the paralell loop and is at 100% - it stays on all the time. This may not be the optimal way to set it up but it works for me.

Cool.

Fernie (herbie on the board) kind of ran the loop options down for me, and I think i know how I am going to set it all up. Thanks again for the info.

OK. The Decimator will go like this: guitar into channel one input, output of decmiator ch 1 into guitar input on amp, channel two of decimator into the serial loop (on all the time). Switchable send into multi fx unit, output of fx unit into paralell return (gives a switchable paralell loop).

I'll probably actually set it up on Monday when my rack arrives and I get everything put into that. I'll let you know what I've come up with experimenting on my own too. I think the Decimator will definitely be routed in the manner described, but I will play around with the loops for the multi fx unit.

^ I set mine up like this. I actually was using the serial loop for the decimator and the switchable loop for the effects processor. Because the ISP was after the effects processor, delays, etc. were cut off. Now since the signal through the FX loop comes back after the ISP, there is not delay cut-off. Sounds alot better now.

Cool. Glad it works for you. The rack arrived today, but I have not set it up yet; probably later this week, when I get a few minutes to myself.
