I have the Axess FX1 midi foot pedalboard, Herbert is set to receive on midi channel 3, I have set the FX1s midi channel 3 named Herbert. Is there any Diezel users here that have the FX1 that can guide me on how to program the change. I used to use a cheap Rockman midi pedal and that worked fine with no programming of the pedalboard, just call up a numeric preset on pedalboard, then set Herbert where you want it channel wise, and hit the store 2 times. But the FX1 does so much more midi wise.

Great purchase of the FX-1 :D

Just follow the directions on page 14 of the Herbert users manual to assign buttons on the FX-1 to operate specific settings on the Herbert.

I use the PC software that comes with the FX-1 to set up all my commands....example -

Midi ch -1 is my G-force which accepts PGC ( program control ) and CC ( continuous control ) changes. I assign the buttons of the FX-1 to force those parameters. Then I have Herbie assigned to ch-2. I then assign the same buttons to turn on or off the Herbert controls. I also send some CC changes on ch-16 to an Axess Electronics switching system to manipulate some stomp boxes into the mix.

It all was intimidating at first but does work like a charm...the Axess software really makes it easy. Can keep a backup of all my settings plus print them and check their functions in real time.

Like the Diezel staff, Mario at Axess is committed to customer satisfaction and will do what it takes to get get you up and running. I spent many an evening on the phone and with emails to him when I was a Midi newbie.

Good Luck
