Herbert MKI transformers?

So I know the MKII Herbert has new transformers for "less heat" or whatever. How bad of a heat issue did the MKI's have?? Any problems with the trannies overheating and damaging anything? I like to play long and loud, and want to make sure if I ended up with a MKI version, that it will be a tank. Thanks for any and all info in advance!

When you flip the power on on a Herbert, its the equivallent to starting a high end sports car. Vibrations from the sheer power and heat from a powerful engine all of which is normal and carefully designed to create the perfect monster

Mine had no issues with the transformer, but the tolex glue above them got hot and started to peel a bit. Nothing major, and regluing it was easy enough.
