Hey,
some time ago I bought an ISP Decimator Pro Rack G for my herbert.
Some of you told me (Pauly for example) that they dont need it, even for highgain sounds.
When I plug in the guitar, but close the vol pot on the guitar,
there is still some hiss on chan.2 and 3. Therefore I think there must be a bad preamp tube.
If I turn the gain-knobs, it changes, but stays. If I close the vol pots, it goes away completely.
Some time ago Peter posted some tricks to detect which tubes could be wrong.
In conclusion turning the channel vols should hint V2 or V3 would be defect.
I tested all 6 preamp tubes with a working one and could not get rid of the hiss.
Any tipps?
