I just picked up a "New old stock" Herbert that should be here next week.
Guy told me it was a 2008 or 2009. Do they have the external Bias points?

Thanks in advance.

Dan

it might they just recently started to not put the external bias points on all diezel amps

I sure hope it does. My Egnater and Randall amps were like that. Made swapping tubes a BREEZE!!

See!! SEE!!! Already having problems man... You should have just stuck with the VH4S.

I'm telling ya, this can't be good, not whatsoever. Already - not even a week before it arrives and LOOK AT YOURSELF MAN!!! Already OVERWHELMED with TECHNICAL ISSUES. Personally, I heard there was a recall on all Herberts.

I think 99,999999% that you'll have the external Bias points ;) ..mine is 2010 and don't have them.
Otherwise mine has glossy metal grilles.

So was it 2010 that the External Bias points were discontinued?

Ya, ya.... C'mon, you're talking to a guy who's not even got his next rig outta the box yet and he's already made the decision to buy a Herb. I'm just going to wait - I need to see how much ground the 20thA can cover. See, originally, I had the V and bought an Uberschall Rev.Blue and then a Twin Jet, hoping the 2 would compliment each other in whatever the other one was lacking. The TJ got sold and the XTC was ordered. I had this inkling that if the XTC covered a lot of the ground I wanted, I'd still want a loose, thick, chewy, hi-gain beast - enter the Herbert. So this strategy of GAS has been ailing me for months, but last night, I just thought about it, and here I am, already GASing for it and I've got this shiny new rig yet to arrive on my doorstep.

I'll see. I know I want one - hell, who wouldn't. But having $15000 in rigs alone for a guy who's only a hobbyist does make me laugh (and that's not including the stash of boutique FX, guitars, a Columbus, etc.). Sick habit man - and I thought drugs were expensive!!

It will have ext. bias points and you will throw rocks at the VH4 once you get the Herbert.

Thats why I told myself.....one amp at a time Dan. If I really had it my way....my whole jam room would be FULL of AMPS AND GUITARS!

But I sell something to buy something. I had to. I get too out of control easily when bit by the GAS bug.
But....I sold the VH4 and bought the Herbert the same day...within HOURS of eachother!

But I kept my promise to myself. ;)

I am sure the XTC will cover a lot of ground. Bogners and Diezels are my two favorite amp companies....

Drugs at least make you forget about the money you have spent on gear.

BTW I love your sig.....

Make sure to tell me how the 20TH holds up to the Herbert when you get it man! And all the other amps....Twin Jet is cool but the Herbert covers so much more ground.
