herbert running with 4 tubes??

hey guys, i noticed i have a bad tube in my herbert and im gonna run it with 4 tubes until i get some new tubes.

my question is if im running 4 tubes do i need to change the impendence??

im using a 8ohm uberkab.

I wouldn't do it until someone can confirm it's safe Tom. Those 3 pairs work in a balance, and it will definitely change the impedance. It won't be a simple doubling like a 4 tube amp though.

i tried to run it with 4 tubes and changed the impendance from 8 to 4 and i noticed one of the tubes was getting really hot and glowing brighter than the rest. i think i will have to order some new tubes and play my other amps until i retube the herbert

Use 6 tubes
