hello guys. i did a quick search about the herbert's tuner out and it brought me to this thread:
http://www.rig-talk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=36269&hilit=herbert+tuner+out

but my problem is kind of different. the tuner out works even when my amp is muted (even on standby!), but what i'm curious about is it seems that the tuner follows after the preamp section. i did a little experiment and plugged my tuner out to a clean amp and everytime i switch channels, the tuner out does the same thing. i mean i can hear distortion on the dist channels. i thought the tuner out was the exact same copy of what is at the input of the herbert.

not really a biggie since i can just switch to the clean channel and tune from there. just curious. are yours the same?

The tuner out is located after the preamp and
before the eq section.

It should work when You mute the amp.
That makes sense ;)

It seems that your issue is that the tuner out will feed a distorted signal to your tuner unless you switch to the clean channel?

And it also seems the only viable solution is as you said, to mute the amp and switch to clean.

yeah, but it's not much as an issue. just wondering if it's the norm on herberts...

what i really wanted to do was feed the tuner out to another amp, but i can do that a hundred different ways really.
