Ok --I ripped off another post BUT I'm dead serious .I feel personally that I'm an Einstein guy as I'm playing vintage MV Marshalls :rock: and struggle with the too many knob syndrome so prevalent in many amp offerings.Now I've heard clips from both of these heads and still think maybe the Einstein's for me .

Help me with this dilemma .

PS -I'm thinking of offing a Bogner Ecstasy to satisfy my GAS !!

nooo!!!! not again!!!!!!!

in all serious, search can be your friend!

i prefer my herbert to my einstein but thats only because of switching options

Got Einstein here - utter happiness. Bit more old school sounding than Herbert. Although you can pull out so many sounds out of each Diezel amp, that it's just unfair to put them in a category.
As at the end I love VH4 and Herbert too so I will (and you will) end up getting 'em all, inevitably.

Sorry Duolos, if it's too much of a hassle don't reply .Did an Einstein search and came up with a million things with the word Einstein in it just kinda thought maybe a few folks would like to expound on their Herbert or Einstein love .Don't really have the opportunity to play them where I live .

Herbert=AWESOME

Einstein=AWESOME

VH4=AWESOME

So pretty much buy all 3 :D

Einstein = rock

Herbert = hard rock thru metal

You really should try both because they are 2 very different sounding amps.

That's an Einstein review. Pretty spot on. Seems that the 100w head is best; if I were to buy an Einstein again, that's what I'd get.

I like my Ecstasy more because I find the gain to be more fitting to my styles. However, what I do remember loving about my Einstein was the first channel. Clean, Texas and Mega modes are very nice sounds, Texas being worth the amp's price by itself. However, I don't think I've ever heard the lead channel the way I would have liked. I had a combo, and I've found that I don't like distorted tones through open back cabs. I imagine through a Diezel 4x12 it would be pretty sick, but the combo wasn't for me.

I don't think anything can replace my Ecstasy, but the Einstein could very well be what you're looking for. There are some very nice tones in it, and you won't be disappointed with the Einstein if you went that way.

Not any more of a hassle then using the search button :lol: :LOL: I actually compared all three Diezel amps in detail and shared my findings. All 3 amps can do metal, cleans, rock, jazz, blues, etc. They have some distinct differences in voicing and so forth. To say one is metal, one is rock etc. is entirely inaccurate as was mentioned earlier by somebody else. They all do everything. I know the Herbert is used for Country sessions and an Einstein 50 is used in a METAL band. Hetfield uses a VH4 and Sambora a Herbert. As I said, they all cover MUCH MUCH ground, it just depends on voicing. If you share more of what you play style and guitar wise, etc. I would be happy to help you further. :thumbsup:
