which are you channel eq. settings using a guitar with Emg pick ups?

i feel i need to cut the bass a little

mine is a Esp KH2 with 2 EMG 81 active pick ups.

then i use a Fender American Stratocaster with a Red Fender Lace Sensor on the bridge.
of course with the strat i don't have the needs to turn down the bass knob

I don't feel much difference when I dial the amp with passives. I use EMGs with fresh set of strings on clean channel, sounds magical. Dirty channel when I need more smooth distortion. Other than that the same applies.

I personally prefer to boost the mids lately, 3 & over. One thing to notice is that adding bass will change the whole character of the sound, not just add bass, I little move can make a bid difference.

absolutely! and this does not only apply for the "bass"-knob...i have herbi for a month now, playing really often, and EVERY time i find a new sound...and every time i think "yeah, thats it - got it!", just until i turn a knob a little bit haha..

never loved an amp so much.
