I just picked up G major 2 today and started playing with it.
How do you guys that have this set up run it?
The manual sez to put in the serial loop but I like the idea of using it in the parallel loop.

Also what are some of your favorite settings or where can I go to find some good settings for the g major 2.
I like to use just a little effect and most of the factory ones seem over the top too much to me.

I'm running my G-Major 2 in the switchable serial loop and I'm very happy with it. Parallel loop didn't work as well for me.

You can of course create your own presets but also if you feel the factory preset too wet just reduce
the wet/dry range parameter more on dry.
Otherwise if a factory preset has too many effetcs block in it you can copy it to an empty preset and turn off
the block that you don't like before saving it.

Neither....

Run the Herbie dry and I use my Eventide Eclipse thru the compensated line out and stereo in/out thru a Mesa 50/50 power amp and 2 wet cabs. This by far will beat anything you can do with a serial/parallel loop and a mono cab configuration. Used the Herbie in a gig this week for a Pink Floyd cover thing I am doing and it turned a 500 person bar into a 50,000 seat amphitheater.

People were in awe!

Downside - all my cabs are 4x12's, so farting around with 3 cabs was a pain in the ass, well, back. For the two wet cabs, 1x12's or 2x12's are all that is needed. I like using the compensated line out, since it is a very small line level signal peeled off the circuit between preamp and power amp. The dry signal is unaffected and you get 100% Herbie smoking out the dry cab with all the teeth chattering and gut wrenching thump you normally expect, then use the power amp outs on the wet side to control what you need for FX.
