Fired up the Herbert today for a quick tone test, channel 3 straight in.

The room sound was great, not sure how well the SM57 captured it... :)

Undoubtedly it sounded great in the room.

I think the recording levels are clipping. :(

Do You mind sharing your settings? Channel 3 is a little too smooth with my amp, especially without mid cut.

Thanks for all the comments I appreciate it. :)

Thank you!

I think it's static more than clipping but I made a 2nd attempt and it's still there a little bit. :)

2nd recording is much better. What's equally amazing is how vintage-ish the Herbie can be dialed in to sound as well. Just a great all around amp IMHO.

nice, sounded like van halen style and marshally. did you have the deep knob turned down for that clip?

Not sure of his settings but I had been told a trick to a more Marshall'y
tone was just crack open(about 9 oclock) the Depth AND presence
It works !

yep I just put both at 9o'clock and it really accentuated the midrange in ways I did not know possible before.

Why not just purchase a Marshall amp?

Don't ya think?

Someone ask's,
I share what I can.

I have had a few Marshall's.
It's nice to have an amp that can get that type of tone if you wanted.

No one ever said,"My Marshall can sound like a DIEZEL

Pretty versatile amp huh

I just tried those settings, but I think there is a more Marshall like sound with more presence dialed in. The setting is not bad at all, but makes him sound bigger. A Marshall is not big sounding IMHO.

I play this 9 o'clock setting a few days now and I have to admit that's it's really great!!!!!
I never could expect the amp could behave like that with such little amount of presence.

Thanks for this input bro!
