It’s definitely insanely fun to play! Clips don’t do that justice and they sound really big in the room too

Now that I've tried a Recto version I'm realizing how different it sounds from this Marshall version. I used to think they were way more similar until just now.

Yeah the only thing they have in common is the super quick/tight response- the Mesa is sharper sounding and more articulate and the Marshall is bigger and sounds more like other amps- my big three are the 5gs, hell razor, and Larry

I'm so surprised since I hate rectos and own(ed) a ton of Marshall based amps, but I think I like the Rectos better from him (at least based on the handful of clips).

If i can give you a tip: Just play a few Power Chords, Palm Muted Stuff and a few single note lines fast and slow. Or play the way i heard you sound pretty good: In your Rock-Style. Don't try to be something you are not.
