I just bought a new Herbert and came across a vid by a cat named Andy Wood who shreds and I think he posts here sometimes. Anyway, you guys have any amp setting suggestions to get me started?
Thanks

If you search this forum you'll find his settings, but I think you will need to buy his fingers first to sound like that :D

Andy just dimes everything and lets it roll  Mid cut engaged as well.

as far as my settings which sound are you most interested in? my settings change a bit with different guitars and what not. you can also see them on my rig walkthrough.

as far as leads its usually something like this (read clock style)

ch 3
gain 2:00
volume 3:30
treble 9;30
mid 2:00
bass 10:30 -11:00

mid cut on
intensity 8:00-8:30
level 12:30

master V2 as loud as you can take it :D

presence and deep usually noon or 12:30

thanks for diggin my stuff! i use passive pickups in super strats (suhr, anderson) 99 percent of the time with a touch of delay

Before buying my herbert a view months ago, it was also andy's lead tone that helpt me making the final decision. I couldn't be happier.

Just make shure that you use gain that has just anough sustain for youre lead playing, to much gain is a bad thing. thats why alot off clips off the herbert on youtube sound sterrile. It depends on which guitar and pickups. With this amp the amount off gain you use also depends on youre dialed in pressence and treble.

Most important: all youre eq depends most on how you fret notes and attack strings!

Andy: its nice to see that you share youre settings, most players dont.

My settings are different all the time, i use channel 2 for everything at the moment, it sings about right for my lead playing, and shakes earth more than enought for my rythem playing. EQ everything on 12 o'clock, only pressence and deep around 1. The eq changes as the strings get older

Andy...can i borrow your fingers for a gig or 2 while u sleep? If u sleep?? LMAO

Hey thanks Andy
I agree thats really kind of you to share your settings. I just wanted a starting off spot to set to my likings from there.
Rock on!
