Have you guys ever been to the West Edmonton Mall? Methinks I want to go there on a vacation!!! :D

Is it worth it?

~R~

Hey Ralph,
I went through there when I visited my brother in calgary but it was a long time ago (early 90's)
I don't remember much except the place was huge and we had some nice food (there's a replica of New Orlean's, Bourbon Street).

I don't think it's worth a trip just to see it but I would categorize it as a thing to see if you are in the area. :)

Phil!!
I'm a knucklehead!! I forgot to include you in the title lol!! :D

I really do think its worth the trip being that I am perpetually 5 mentally!! :D

That said, I can't justify going to Canada just for the mall, so it would just have to be a stop in my travels!!

Sorry Ralph, I've never been to Edmonton. Edmonton in general isn't what most would call a tourist destination anyway; that's better left to more scenic and/or larger cities.

I've haven't been to Edmonton either Ralph...but the kid in me would like to see this huge mall sometime myself. :rock:

The kid in me wants to go to Vancouver Island again and go swimming in the streams there. Maybe the kid in me had enough of hanging out in malls to last me the rest of my life. :) Although I admit the indoor wave pool and water slide are intriguing.

I bet they sell candy there...I just want some candy.

It sure is impressive. My brother took me on the grand tour/loop.
Calgary->Banff->Jasper->Edmonton->Calgary.
It was a great trip but I must say the mall was not the highlight, just...a weird thing... :)

Well that's just the thing!! My girlfriend and I share the same type of humor and we would be silly enough to go on vaction in a mall. The way I see it, it has hotels,nightclubs,amusement parks, shopping and tons of other things all rolled into one. My girlfriend would be in heaven just shopping around and getting away for a while :D
