I've seen a pile of Suhr's online that have dual humbuckers with a 5 way switch. I'm guessing it's a superswitch. What are the 5 positions? I'm trying to figure out how to set up a parts guitar, and am looking at options that some of the highly respected guys put out.

Hi,
Suhr wires the 2 Hum 5-Way like this:

1. Neck
2. Neck Split Inside Coil
3. Neck/Bridge (Neither split)
4. Neck/Bridge (Both split inside coils)
5. Bridge

Position 2 is actually the outside coil of the neck humbucker. :)

D'OH!!!!

Thanks Ed... good to know. Now I won't be confused when my Modern arrives.... :)
I had actually wondered about this since it made more sense, to me, for it to
split to the outside coil for something similar to a "strat neck" sound.
I had asked my dealer for info on this and heard the inside coil.
Anyhow, thanks for the correct info!!

Thanks guys!

I'm thinking of this:
1. Neck Series
2. Neck Outside Coil
3. Outside Coils
4. Inside Coils
5. Bridge Inside

Add a 3PDT switch where the down position is Bridge Series, no tone and the up position is the switch position above.

The main reason I was asking is that there were some guys on YouTube getting killer tones from their Suhrs using some of the intermediate positions.
