Hi all, Ive just signed up hoping to get some advice/feedback.
The title says it all really, I have a newly purchased 2 channel Rebel 30 amplifier which I absolutely love! It sounds full when the volume is above say 2 onwards, however when lower, in a practice scenario, its a little "iffy".
When going from 0-1, the sound doesnt come in gradually, it goes from 0 to "sound" in a marked step rather than gradual, sounding a touch scratchy too. Is this a pot issue?
Lastly, from say 1 - 2, again the volume doesnt increase gradually. At 1 the sound is very thin and trebly; turning the volume up further there is a noticable step up again in volume to a fuller vibrant tone that you would expect, then smooth onwards.
Taking the above in account, is there a problem or are these things I describe characteristic of a tube driven amplifier?
2 onwards is heaven btw.
Thanks in advance for any advice offered.
Leon
