It's not. It's called a rip-off. The guitar cost no more to make than any other Les Paul. They''re trying to make a profit of 8 grand money grab. Pathetic!
 
It's the new Wild West of pricing. Anything goes..
Problem is, there's people that will pay it..
You get a few talentless mooks with some money and it's makes it worth while for the sellers which fucks it up for the poor and deserving..

You just described 89% of the RigTalk everyday cork sniffers... they will swear it sounds good because the price tag told them so. Hype something enough, create a bandwagon... sell hot garbage repackaged and dudes will swear everytime it's the new best thing.

Even the new builders who used to be reasonable saw how easy it was to get fools with excess money to pay 3-4k for what used to be 1200.

And they will swear it sounds better because of that..... and the KICKER here is.... they can't even get a sound they are happy with without a boost but still claim it's amazing... 🤣🤣

It does create a gap, that's not very fair to average bank accounts. Capitalism and cork sniffing go very hand in hand it turns out. 💁‍♂️
