That's like being married to Jessica Beil, and then having sex with Jo Frost(the Supernanny) just to see what it's like.

I'm going thru a love hate relationship with my vh4 right now.

If I got tired of my Herbert, I think I'd check out an Elmwood.

I don't believe that you will regret it at all! The JVM is a great amp! As a matter of fact, I was tracking a song for our new record last weekend with both the JVM and the Herbert.......and the JVM smoked the Herbert.

if I wind up loving it-then it's byebye vh4 and hello gibson and PRS(or fender).

Why new? Didn't they jack up the pricing lately? I hope you got the old pricing

funny thing is-the retailer also had a bunch of baby einstein stuff as well. After ordering some stuff for the little man, I had the rep read my order back to me. I told him he forgot the musical kangaroo-and add a marshall jvm head on there to.  his reaction was like WTF!!??
baby einstein to a marshall? :D

even better than old pricing brother!!! I thought it was a typo but they honored it.

FWIW, I would take a JVM over a VH4 any day.

Has nothing to do with price either.

I respect the hell out of Peter Diezel and his amps are quality gear, but there is something about the tone that always bothered me. I played both versions of the VH4(At least I think there are only 2 versions...) and a Herbert. Never played an Einstein.

The JVM, on the other hand, is one of my favorite channel switchers. Great sounding amp but build quality is not even close to Diezel. Still plenty good IMHO though ;)
