Hot damn!’

I must admit it sounds pretty good, it still lacks the low end but the tone and grind appears to be there... I wonder why Ola didn't use the exact Dime setup of parametric EQ and MXR into the amp?

Using the MIMIQ as a doubler sounded really good and gives that specific Dime MXR flanger/doubler effect..................:2thumbsup:

I wonder if they have plans to upscale to a full size 100/300 watt head that has more low end instead of a toy that runs of a DC power supply. I guess for 500 bucks this would get alot of fans close to the real RG100ES tone in something newer but the original amp still reigns supreme in my eyes and ears.

i dont think its lacking any low end, i just listened to some of dimes isolated tracks last night comparing to my own and his tone certainly isnt bass
heavy and thick as many may think

I hear more bass/fullness in Ola Century video versus the Warhead mini....I bet if you put them side by side in front of the player you will hear and feel a difference. My RG100ES amp had some low end and was punchy as hell. This is another example of a lower wattage amp that won't punch as hard a big transformer amp running of full AC voltage.

I have the Century and the Rg100es, the Century dosent have much low end compared to the RG or any of my other amps really, it does have more grind but its certainly not a low end monster. Ola's video is accurate, thats why i trust his reviews above all others, we sound very similar through the few same amps we have.

I could always be proven wrong but in my experience something like this lunch box just won't replicate the real amp in all ways side by side due to the effects of the output sections mostly.

Big amps with big transformers, higher voltages are more full, more extended frequencies, and punch more. Maybe they have succeeded where others have failed but I will remain skeptical for now. Ola's Dime comparisons are very good and I also follow them.:2thumbsup:

I fully agree... surprisingly the Warhead mini seems to replicate the Randall crunch and grind better than the DIME amp and the Randall FET amp offerings.

The only way to know for sure is to buy one for $529.00 and play it side by side with an original RG100ES.

Totally. Dime had some of the sizzliest, bacon frying-est tone out there.

Personally I think it fit Pantera's songs great and I don't think the band would sound right with any other tone.

Anybody know what zakk is using? 800’s? Wylde audio? Randall’s or modelers? I saw the video with Grady working the rack but don’t recall anything about the amps.

Zakk is using his Wylde JCM800's as far as I know. I guess they are using some of Dime Rack effects like the MXR flanger doubler and some other stuff.
