I'm getting a POD XTL this monday, and it has the Metal Pack...... how are the Diezel models?? I'm dying to play those models! :D

Exactly the same!! ;)

I had the POD XT Pro with all the packs. Sounds good and easy for demo stuff.
But..... specially the higainmodels don't sound the same, they don't have the same feeling of a real tubeamp.

All the models have the same buzzzzzzz that the analoge Diezels  dont have.

So for homerecording i would strongly recommend the XTL (easy and saves time), but for the real stuff (studio/live) there is only the real thing...TUBES.

Oh hell yeah...tubes all the way baby... I'm not going to replace the tubes with the POD XTL, it's just for fun, and to record (a lot of possibilities).

But as a "fun" factor how are the Diezel models? When i turn my POD XTL on and put on the Diezel models will I be hearing something, similar to the Diezels voicing? I know it won't FEEL the same (after all it's a modeler) but will I be hearing a true voicing?

:)

Well, i had the metalpack with the XT Pro, but didn't realize it had the Diezel simulation.
I did check all the amps out, but always ended up with the non-metalpack Recto simulation.

I own both a VH4 and a POD XT live... The XT is nice for hassle free direct recording, but it does not sound anything like a Diezel... The Recto model, though, sounds very much like the original.

Damn!...i thought the POD XTL would help control at least a tiny bit my Diezel GAS! :S

damnit!

I have Herbie an Pod X3L, the new one (2 simulations at the same time), sound really good, I happy with Pod, but when turning on the Herbert I know why is incredible :codeak:
