How bad are diamond amps actually . ?

I’ve never played one I’ve heard some okay clips and terrible clips . But the used prices on them are dirt cheap and they seem built pretty well and made in USA wondering if anyone owns one or has anything positive to say about them ? For a chug chug amp seems like it would get it done ?

I used to own a Nitrox some years ago. Good amp, heavy with big bottom end, no complaints.

I believe that to be the Nitrox or at least it was about 7 years ago. Haven’t kept up with the line since then.

I know one of the guitarists from Sevendust is a Diamond endorser, or was a Diamond endorser and he gets great tone. He's normally a Mark series guy, but the Diamond amp that he uses live in particular has a lot of midrange push to it like a Mark series amp. Which is why he uses it. I'll have to research that some more, and find out what model amp he uses.

Buddy of mine I was in a band with had one…Spitfire maybe? Don’t remember it sounding all that great but I seem to remember him having some issues with it so possible it wasn’t sounding 100%

I tried pretty much the whole line up of them at one point. Some were ok, some were imo not good, the Nitrox was the best one imo. Somewhat similar ballpark to things like a Herbert or Uberschall. Pretty good amp imo depending what one is used to, but if AB’ed vs a top tier amp nothing amazing imho

It's actually a total ripoff of the CAE OD100.

I gigged with a Spitfire II for a few years. Awesome amp. If it wasn’t so heavy I’d still have it.

They did was curious about that one too

No first hand experience, but I did do a decent amount of research on them about a year. Everything I found out about them pointed to them being decent amps. Pretty good build quality. Though tone wise there's a number of amps in the same vein that I think would do the job better. Ultimately they were a pass for me.

That’s the one amp model of there’s I have not tried. I remember Axe Palace had one, but I don’t think that many of that model were made
