I thought that sounded kind of weak. :scared:

Sounds fuckall like a Lynch tone to me  :scared:

which proves tone is in the fingers dude

Ya, in the fingers... then sell all your amps and play thru your stereo...
;)

I don't usually have anything negative to say about clips, but those riffs are all wrong played through a sub-par tone. I hate the JVM.

Dude, you're making me want one of these combos. No kidding... I've been thinking about going the combo route for a long time, since it would be much easier for gigging. Strangely enough, the best sounding combo I've ever played through was an older Line 6 Flextone II 1x12" combo. Did a few gigs with it and it was balls.

Thanks, Thump, and to all. I'm sure you'd love this combo. I had planned on swapping out this Cele G12B, whatever that is, with a Greenback, but damn if it doesn't sound sweet already. I'm used to close-micing speakers, and I'm not sure open vs. closed-back makes that big of a difference in this application. I'm still running the bass real low and with a little bit from the resonance knob it sounds to me like a big rig. The cheap-ass mic on my consumer-grade camcorder doesn't do it justice. I sold my recording stuff in a moment of stupidity. But I've got another mic on the way. "Real" clips will be forthcoming.

Sounds great to me. I think that was the first clip of a 210 or 205 series that I have heard. Good stuff!

When I think Lynch I think Slo-100, but maybe that's just me.

That's a pretty sweet tone though. Personally I feel that Marshall has priced themselves into a corner, atleast in the US. With the 210 combo retailing at like $2300 you are getting into the boutique realm. If they priced it to move, say 1700-1800 they would sell like crazy.

Sounds good........but my 205H sounds nothing like that  Mine sounds much smoother and not so grainy in the mids. Maybe it is the speaker, since I'm using Greenbacks.

I'm planning on Saturday as clip making day. I'm anxious to see how it records.
