Well im a meat cutter, its a skill, i take a $500 primal cut and triple its value for profit by size & weight.
An opinion about an FX pedal is just that an opinion. Not really based in skill or science.
Can you make a comfortable living doing that ? Maybe im in the wrong line of work.

I am craving a fat T Bone so bad

He always has an eye looking out for all the new gear.

35 oz Porters sell best where were at. And of course 16 oz hand cut aged Ribeye's.
I also cut an 18 oz bone-in aged NY Strip.
I know the american legal justice system is based on bullshitting the right folks.
I guess the gear review system is too.
You better throw a nice steak diner if I ever come around where you are 😁

Well Danimal is basically my neighbor, so if he provides the steak, I'll grill em out and provide the sides
Cept you keep trying to drag me over to E. St. Louis for a lil R & R.
Im a married man, watch your hands Mr.\:D/ -
Been decades but no stranger to the stockyards @ 04:00hrs.

You are the one back in the day that told me about the "love you long time spas on 157". But that was 20 years ago, I never went.

I don’t think he’s “reviewing” though is he? He’s “demoing”. He’s a salesman hired gun.
Yeah, he pretty much just runs gear through its paces. Even though he’ll throw in some reactions to what he’s hearing, I feel I can hear for myself if I like something or not.
Easily the most dangerous demo’s for my wallet I’ve ever seen are the ones Andy used to do for Pro Guitar Shop in Portland.

Yeah exactly. I’m not against what he does. I rarely watch. But if he has a demo of a piece of gear I’m into I’ll watch. More for the features. He seems to always have a tone baked in that I don’t really dig. But I am under no illusion that these are reviews.

Objectively? I don't think he or anyone else can. but who gives a shite?

I do credit him for building a mold for YT gear demos - get a some gear in and build a whole small song that showcases it; can't remember anyone else who did that first.
Last I checked he was also clear about his affiliations and endorsements, Suhr etc, and iirc he said somewhere he only demoes gear he thinks he'll like or at least get some decent tones out of it.
He is meticulous and detailed in his delivery and relative to other YT'ers he's got some real pro muso credentials too though none of them are my taste.

Having said all that, I don't like the tones he's dialling, his music, his playing, nor any of his sig. products or ones he was involved in design of.
I also got bored with the chase for ultimate plexi'isms out of every Suhr or other amp with a crunch channel.

I was paying attention to was how we was using IRs and tips for getting tones at the dawn of IR concept even though I was going for different tones. In short I stopped consuming his content a years ago.

I also believe that he's been instrumental in advertising Suhr in a contemporary manner i.e. YT bc none of the cats that played Suhr gear in the 90s-00s - SE 3+, OD100s etc etc..
a. still play Suhr gear
b. have an YT channel.
That's smart of John Suhr
