French band Trust, from the NWOBHM days. I stumbled across them because the algorithm was throwing Nicko content at me and he played with them for a while before Maiden. Fucking awesome band. From what I’ve sampled so far I prefer the French versions (they released English as well). It must be the Nena affect. Just better in German somehow.
This vid is a glorious example of the holy union of a Fender into an SVT and a Les Paul into a 6 knob Marshall.

 



this was a fairly popular Anthrax song that is a Trust cover
 
They had a couple tunes on the Heavy Metal soundtrack. Pretty cool for late 70s Euro rock. Of course, that was the only reference...not counting England of course.
