How did you pick and pluck the foam in your Pelican 1300?

Eric' going to kill me for this   but I think I plucked mine better. :D

I'm going to stand by my plucking. Then again, I'm a neurotic, OCD nutcase when it comes to silly stuff like foam plucking.

If you do 4 horizontally, you can fit one more module in, but it's super tight, and the lid kinda closes a bit on the module wings.

Gene: If you open the case, I'd do it 3 spaces vertically.

All this being said, Eric has shipped his Pelican to me countless times, and the modules always arrive safe and sound.

Gene, just start tearing that shiz out. I fit 3 in mine because I like a decent amount of padding around them.

If I had to do it all over again, I'd do the 3 module setup that Matt / Nick did. I might buy more foam to do that. I didn't do a very good job at it, but things are protected at least. I'm the first to admit, I'm not the best person at "delicate types of jobs." So...my foam isn't the prettiest...but it does get the job done.

At least I didn't hear from my wife.....

I plucked mine so that I have 4 horizontally and I've never had an issue. Once the case is closed, the pressure created from the top and bottom keep the modules from moving at all, so the side-to-side foam isn't really doing a whole lot other than creating a guide for keeping them apart when putting them in. This case is pretty dang rugged and I'd be hard pressed to believe putting more foam in between the modules would really gain you anything. Even if you were extremely rough with the case, I don't think it would make a difference. Just my $0.02 though...

If you try it one way and don't like it, save the foam and put it back in. A little bit of glue and you are back to where you started if you are carefull with it.

Man,we need picks of this pluck'n and then we'll see who's plucked up or not ;)
