How Do I Connect My XTC To Use Power Section of Other Amp?

I want to see what my XTC 20th Ann. 6L6 head sounds like through the power section of my Goldfinger 90. The manual says the send output is preamp only and the line-out is after the power section. I saw a thread and a guy was talking about it, but he used line-out so apparently he was still using the power section of his XTC.

How can I hook my XTC to my Goldfinger so that I use the power section from my Goldfinger and the preamp output from my XTC?

Oh yeah, I have both amp heads hooked up to separate 1x12 cabs so they both are connected to a load.

Would I hook it up like an FX processor or something?

XTC [Send] -> Goldfinger [Return]
Goldfinger [Send] -> XTC [Return]

???

Yeah as above. Best to some sort of load resistor. Even Rheinhold admits the line puts are not great for tone
