How does the Rebel 1x12 cab sound?

I was thinking of picking one up to go with my Rebel but I won't have a chance to hear it.
The description says "Custom Voiced Egnater Celestion Elite-80 Speaker".

I currently have a 2x12 cab with V30 and G12H30 speakers. Would it be brighter, mellower, break up later/earlier, etc.

I'm assuming the ported/closed cab will give it more bass.

I'm also highly interested in this 1x12 cab...but I know nothing about the "custom voiced" speaker. Often times that can be a bad thing, so I'm skeptical...

I also am accustomed to using G12H30's mixed w/ V30's.

No first hand experience but the reports have been very good. My buddy has one and says it sounds fantastic with the Rebel. One guy on the Gear Page said he couldn't get the same sounds out of his cabs that he did in the store through the Eggie cab. I would bet on it sounding great.

I'm sure others will chime in as well but I will answer.
That speaker is a very warm, round sounding speaker- sounds much different than a V30. In the 1x12 it sounds good, but if you are dependant on the inherent tone of the V30 as part of "your sound" you may not like the 80 speaker. It is a departure.

that being said, it works very well in those smaller boxes. Just didn't work for me....that day.

I got it! Sounds great. Plenty of bass and shimmer. I'm used to an open back cab but this one sounds great and has better focus.
