How durable are Deizel cabs?

So, after much deliberation, research, and finally a chance to play all Diezel amps, I plan on getting a Herbert. Now I just need to decide a good companion cab!

Currently, my live setup is simultaneously running a Peavey 5150 II (through a Mesa/Boogie cab) and a Sunn Beta Lead (through a Peavey 5150 cab). I plan on ditching both amps as well as the Peavey cab...but I definitely would like to run the Herbert through the Mesa cab AND one other cab, which I need to decide on.

I am in a band which plays about 150 shows a year, so while sound quality IS of course the most important thing, durability is a huge issue as well. I love the sound of my Mesa and the great tight bass response, but I also love that I've done 200+ shows with it -- even gotten into a 70 MPH highway accident with the cab in our trailer, which was destroyed -- and the cab still works great! Cosmetically, it's a bit of a wreck at this point, but I don't care much about the cosmetics of my equipment when I tour. Most importantly, it's reliable and still sounds great.

I enjoyed the Diezel cabs I played through (rear-loaded V30s), but wanted to know how durable they are? As careful as I am with my stuff, it's just a fact that equipment WILL take a beating on tour. I also like that I've not needed a hard case for my Mesa cab...the enclosure is tank-like and I don't think it needs any further protection. I'd prefer not to get a road case for any of my cabs because cases = more space, more hassle, more money. My Herbert, on the other hand, will be getting an extremely safe case!

I'm also considering Orange, Vader, and some others...any thoughts or suggestions?

well i played 250 shows with my two cabs over the last year
and the cabs without road cases have held up amazingly...yes cosmetically...they've been roughed up...but all the inputs and speakers are great...probably the best cabs ive ever played tone wise.

Great man, thanks for the info...cosmetics are not much of a concern so long as they hold up.

Do you use front or rear-loaded? That's another decision I'm trying to make. I think I want to go with the V30's though.

What kind of music do you play?

i use frontloaded..they sound the best ..very articulate and punchy sound totally cut through anything on stage...not to mention they are lighter than the rear loaded cabs..and wayyy lighter than a mesa cab..i used to own one...and sold it once i heard the diezel cab.

i play hardcore, stoner rock/metal kind of stuff...but i've used the cabs for everything from straight up punk to indie rock to blistering metal...and it seems to sound all around great. my cabs have v30s which you will love if you have a mesa of course...but ive tried the diezel speakers and they sound great...maybe a lil warmer or less harsh? but very good yet similar to the celestions.
