Between my job, family and summertime, I haven’t played guitar much the last 5 months or so. Been pretty miserable because I’m happiest when I play and tinker. So I’m looking forward to catching up on new gear I’ve missed and start getting back to playing daily.

Kind of weird because I went from playing everyday to suddenly not. It wasn’t a conscious thing, just kind of happened. Good news on a professional level, I made partner at my company but that just meant I work more which isn’t the worst thing, happy to be working. But man on a personal level, it saps my strength.

Anyway, I look forward to hanging out here more and sharing shit.

Good to see you back to playing.

Stress and fatigue take that spark away from life. When something like that happens, I try to pick up the instrument through sheer power of will and usually succeed haha

At least you’re doing good financially, all the rest is easier to maintain when you have that.

Dude I just picked up a guitar after a year and a half dry spell so I can somewhat relate. Couldn’t get life into enough of a routine to find time for it. Seemed like family was always needing something, something was going wrong, or work was taking too much of my time.

My wife & i are doing okay. going on vacation soon. We havent had one since 2019. Who knew Covid would hit ?
Glad you're back. Stick around.

Get back after it! Eight months of no desire, no passion, no playing too. Work and general life stress are a bitch and much cause. Playing helps but only when you're in that zone. I'm back in that zone and thankful.

When I don't gig I usually hit the jams to help keep sharp. I rehearsed friday, did four-five hours of recording yesterday. Still felt like playing so went to church this a.m and got dumped off at the blues jam this afternoon. Was surrounded by friends all day but it sure went by way too quick. Made the most of today though and now I get to hang on rig talk with y'all and then go to the dentist tomorrow so I can help some needy specialist afford that new Murphy Lab LP.

Good to see you around man... I try to record riff challenges every week if I can but work and family are definitely a thing. I hope I don't stop playing anytime soon, I have way too much gear to just not play 👀
