How many continuous hours is it OK to have Herbert working? I get so excited sometimes that I have it on for many hours, sometimes I'm wondering if this can damage something due to overheating.
Within what temperatures is it designed to run anyway?

The more you use it, the faster your power tubes will wear off.
But if you use it let's say for at least 5 straight hours a day I doubt it will ever have a problem.

I don't see why there would EVER be a problem no matter how long you had it running. As previously said, your tubes will wear down faster, but that's about it. The only thing I can think of that COULD do damage from natural use is if you had it fuckin' CRANKED for just a ton of hours straight.

Yeah there's no way running for extended periods will damage it, every Sunday I run mine at band rehearshal for about 4 - 6 hours because thats the only time the whole band can get together to play other than for shows. If overheating is an issue, which it will only be an issue if the head is in a case or in a very hot room/outdoors then put a fan in front of the head or get a rack fan for the back of the case.

In my experience tube heads get pretty hot, apparently that's not a problem.
Thanks, it's good to make sure it's safe.
