Hi all
I own an Egnater/Rocktron IE4 pre, coupled with a poweramp (EL34) and a stock 1936 Marshall cabinet.
I am thinking to change to a MOD50 head, but which modules?
I live in Germany, noway to find Eggies in shops. Are you coming to Frankfurt musikmesse?
I know only a distributor in the Netherlands for your amps.

My main guitar is a Luke with EMGs, so my first idea was to order T/D and MHG. I know the EG5 is similar to MHG but with a better voice on upper mids, but should be better the MHG with EMG pickups?
The sounds I love are from Luke, Dann Huff, Michael Thompson, Tommy Denander..

Hard to decide without playing them!

I would recommend the T/D and EG5. I play guitars with EMG most exclusively. I use a 81 in the bridge, a SA in the mid, and a SLV in the neck. The T/D and EG5 are very awesome sounding modules. I would recommend the EG5 over the MHG because from what everyone said the EG5 sits better in a mix (I haven't played a MHG myself) and secondly you can get the sounds of a MHG pretty much by rolling off the highs and mids some on the EG5.

From my perspective, my favorite modules are the T/D, VX, and Eg5. If you had those modules, you can get a lot of tones.

You can'y go wrong really so that's the good thing. I think the EG5 or teh MHG would work, tuff choice there. How much did you love the old IE4 sounds? If you want to remain more trure to those tones I think the choices would EG3/4 and DLX.

I love especially ch1 and 4 in my IE4.
Maybe also the tourmaster head should be an option, but you know, I am not used to buy before trying, it is not only the head, but also the guitar, the hands...maybe I will have the option to find some egnater products at the frankfurt musikmesse, i do hope so!

EG5 is my favorite module. If you are playing any sort of hard rock to metal, this is the module to have. You won't regret this one.

+1 on the EG5.

You can do ALLOT with this module. I also have the VX, Bman and SL2.

If I was to ONLY have 2, it would be the EG5 and the VX

If you can only have 1 between EG5 and SL2 go EG5. It has more gain and can cover more ground for that reason IMO. However, I dont know how Id live without both!

Ok guys this forum and you people are cool!
Well my choice will be between mod50 with t/d and eg5 head or the tourmaster head, it depends on availability and waiting time since I am in germany.
and of course the 1x12 killer cab!
