I have an ampero 2 stage and it sounds fantastic thru my power amp and cabinet but is a lil too bassy straight into the p a. All the amp models do. I guess it’s the pa speakers?

Can’t you send a separate EQ signal to the FOH and take some low end out?

When I use my FM3 I have a QSC k12 that’s on stage with me. That’s what I tweaked the unit with and it sounds fantastic through FOH

i don't have an ampero so I don't know if this feature is available, but on the Kemper I use a monitor out that has another eq. I run it into a Friedman ASM which IMO is a little dark and bassy so I tweak the monitor EQ. House is only impacted by the eq on the amp model

I found the global eq and have it set to the balanced output now. Just waiting for practice tonight to tune it in. Thanks and btw, the ampero 2 is awesome. Yall gotta check it out

I would always only dial the direct out using the PA or a PA speaker or just mic the cab and dont go direct, I always use a low and hi cut if running direct. 80hz to 8000hz is a good starting point Typically this is a feature in the cab block), I always find less bass and less gain than you think you need will make it sound killer. Me personally I would ditch the power and and cab and just use FRFR as your backline, this way you dial your preset to the FRFR and its essentially a PA speaker so then going to direct will usually sound good.

Yup, it’s our pa making everything sound a lil bloated. Played a gig last night through a proper pa and all my problems are gone. Chalk it up to better or worse pa equipment. The ampero 2 stage is legit

I use a global EQ in my modelers that have them, currently Helix Floor, to cut the lows and highs; I'm using powered PA cabs

I have several high end heads but just don’t want carry a van full of stuff around anymore. I’m 50 and want good tone with the least amount of hassle at shows. Been there done that.
I use the Ampero 1 into a quilter and Mesa 2-12 and it kills. Great choice!

Dial in your tones with the PA you will use. If your using a house PA take your laptop to tweak the tones in the editor, done! :m17:
