Hurdy Gurdy Electro in 4/5 - Danceable?

Greetings Bards
Here is some droned Hurdy Gurdy Electro in 5/4. It is not that unusual meter in scandinavian folk, so I can easily dance to it. Can you?

If it is hard to twist your body out of the 4/4 and into 5/4, try shift from heel to heel on 5 and 1 respectively: 1 Heel-2-3-4-5 Heel-1 Heel -2-3-4-5 Heel-1 Heel etc.

When it sits there, try to feel the subdivisions (ten 1/8) by swaying your body to them. If you get it, you should be able to expand the heels yourself and make some nice moves with the rest of your body.

Thank you kind Sir (deep bow). I would if I had the guts, but I often feel a little deviant here being a folk head. Nice when people tune into it.
That's a lady. Just for clarification.

What's up dude ... remember you from the gear forum. You always have some interesting stuff....

Your name is Goti over there, correct?

Oh, I am sorry and apologize to the honered shield maiden. Gender bias easily becomes a habit on forums like this. Well, I usually do not get much response here, and frankly this thread put me a little off, though it seemingly was meant as jest. It confirmed that I may not belong here as much as the Gear Forum, where the spaders seem more openminded for deviants.

I am part Scandinavian, so I'll take it :ROFLMAO:
Literally no worries, been that way online since forever.
Yeah, I remember that thread vaguely.
The me asking to post a clip was directed at another member who never has :ROFLMAO:
Kind of a running joke with the seal pup that used to swim around these parts.
You probably know him.
Will check out the track again. ❤️

I find it's best to be one's self, and let fools be fools.

Having thick skin helps too.

Good to see you again.
🤘

Yeah, I am usually thick skinned, but music is a sensitive matter to me. I have studied deep to be able to do what do. It is all about love for music, including its history. Gotta be a place where I can feel this as a shared motive. Thanks for the nice feedback, and cosy some of you from Gear Forum are around here too. A welcome comfort.

Love your music. It's difficult to get things across sometimes, I post only a handful of my tracks as a lot of it is electronic/synth/piano/acoustic/classical/etc... Would love to maybe collaborate with you some time. I have a thread in this section titled "Enough Talk" with some of my tracks posted on it (a lot of them are on the last page in a single playlist) if you want to check them out. I do a lot of genre fusion/crossover stuff that would probably be more up your alley if you're interested. Not much of it posted here, though. Also, went back and checked out that other track again 😻

Thanks a lot, Shield Maiden. I have 5 tunes or so, where I have featured members from KVR and Gearspace, and often abstract artists that I take into the frame of modal music. Basically people can give me anything beyond white noise to work with, so collap is an option. I tried to find your Enough Talk thread, but it did not show up in the links. Could you link it, so I can check out your doings?

There's tracks spread throughout the thread, but at the bottom of the last page here is the playlist I was referring to.
You'll have to weed through the metal, though :ROFLMAO:

Oh, Dear. I do not think Shield Maiden can do it, I´d rather call you a Valkyrie. Read about them here under song description:

Edit. Oh, it does not link the site, but only the song, so I will quote the description here:

"The battle is over. You are lying wounded on the ground among cries, agony and broken weapons of fellows and foes. You are in pain too and know you are about to die. You do not know who won or lost the battle, and it does not matter anymore, for you know what shall happen. Eventually you hear them; drumming, singing, yelling. You look to the sky, and in blast of light, you see them come down towards you. A sight for the dying only. Hundreds of them. Valkyries. Ten thousand mortal men from Midgard would not stand a day against a single one of them. You heart beats faster as they approach, for you know they are here to judge you. You shall either be picked among the bravest of warriors, the Einherjars, to sit at Odin’s table in Valhalla, or you shall live like a common man in Folkvang, the holy land of Freya. However, if they condemn you as a coward, you shall be sent to Hel in the underworld. In a flashback, you recall all the incidences in your life where you have treated a woman miserably, considered her weak and taken advantage of your physical superiority. You taste your blood as you swallow a blob of it. Yes, great warrior: You better gather what is left of your courage, for if you want to go to Valhalla, this is not the right time to sht your pants."

I am going to need a tune about Berserker Trance for our upcoming album. If you are in for collab, how about sending me the deep guitar track to Trick and Treat without drums? I could work with parts of that.

Not totally sure about that one. Will have to talk it over with another member who has a new mix on that track (different mix than my original on the playlist, but still) as it's part of a videogame soundtrack. Not trying to interfere with their contribution. Def could write something fresh if you're into that, though. Have about three or four projects going on right now, but if you're into it will come up with a few similar in the near future.

If it is too much a trouble, you can just send me some guitar riff that you can spare if you have some unused snippets around. Then I can choose between them. Trick and Treat is just close to the style I am thinking of, but there are potentials in the others too. Could be cool.
