I posted a similar thread a few months back after getting a Boss SD-1. Is "asshole" or dumbass" the more appropriate reference to the ass for ignoring the hype of the SD-1? I chose "asshole," because I wilfully ignored the hype for years.

Regardless, I have ignored "harmonic minor" for decades and am, again, an asshole/dumbass. In an Em scale, play d# instead of d and it is instant Yngwie, Rhoads, and something to make my rock/blues playing more fun and musical.

I am a few decades late to the party but am digging the party.

For more Spanish vibes, try a i VII VI V cadence. In Am that'd be Am, G, F, E. Emphasize the F to E transition.
