Hello guys, I built this guitar to give it to Metallica as a gift, as an appreciation for the inspiration offered as a luthier, for many years. Unfortunately, I could not contact the band to get their agreement to send the guitar. How do you like it?

Beautiful work. Looks like you know what you're doing :) How much would something like that cost?

I'd contact their management. It shouldn't be too hard to find their info.

Wow that is insanely beautiful! Very nice work. I'm also curious what something like that would cost?

Hi guys, I'm glad you like it. The guitar has a great complexity of construction, also the inlays are made by hand from natural shell. The price cannot be discussed on a forum, but it is much more than a standard factory guitar.

WOW, WHAT A BEAUTIFUL INSTRUMENT !! (y)

It sounds like he sent it to METCLUB (fan club), and they hung on to it for 3 years, and then returned it......

I am sure that they have fans trying to give them things all the time....but THIS.....this is not a 2-3 day project of someone making a doll or drawing a picture, to gift to them. This obviously took a very long time to build, and someone at METCLUB certainly had a chance to tell James about it. Disgusting that they probably just set it in a corner for 3 years, and then sent it back.

Not a fan of how they handled this......

I don’t know if they still have the same practice and studio spot they used to, but it’s close to me. I will drive by in the next day or two and see if they still have the spot. I heard they bought the record plant in Sausalito so they could have moved in there? I can definitely get you an address over the next couple days.

That is legit af, nice job....not hearing from those guys is a sign, kirk would have probably knocked it over anyway?

They are probably scared that it voids their endorsements or something... beautiful guitar though. Do you have a site to promote your work with prices?
